As part of the activities of the 14th International Conference of Ain Shams University (2026), held under the theme “Universities as Engines of National Development… Towards Innovation and Sustainable Economic Growth,” the conference takes place under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Abdel Aziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Prof. Dr. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University and Conference Chair; Prof. Dr. Amani Kamel, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research and Executive President of the Conference; Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development and Vice Conference Chair; and Prof. Dr. Rami Maher Sadeq Ghali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs and Vice Conference Chair. The conference is held from April 19 to 20, 2026, at Triumph Hotel, New Cairo.
The Faculty of Computers and Information, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Rasha Ismail, Dean of the Faculty, is participating with a specialized scientific session titled: “Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation in Education, Scientific Research, and Innovation.”
The session aims to highlight the pivotal and rapidly growing role of artificial intelligence technologies as a driving force for digital transformation in higher education institutions, contributing to a qualitative leap in both education and scientific research systems. It also supports innovation ecosystems and enhances the competitiveness of academic institutions. Additionally, the session discusses AI’s role as a catalyst in reshaping digital governance models and supporting digital transformation efforts at both institutional and national levels. It also presents a comprehensive strategic vision for localizing generative AI technologies within the university, ensuring their responsible and sustainable use.
