As the application of an advanced method in the management of the college is in line with the message it presents to the community in the educational field, in line with the global scientific developments in the field of information technology, which is characterized by an amazing, rapid and unprecedented development internationally, noting that the great challenge posed by this progress will be accompanied by a remarkable development During the coming period in the work plan of the Faculty of Computers and Information Science, which currently hosts between 5 and 6 thousand students, and the faculty seeks to train students at the highest scientific levels and increase their skills practically, through twinning work between the college and companies operating in the field of information technology, most of which are multiple international companies In a way that benefits the student and the community at the same time, in addition to the college’s keenness to publish the results of all scientific research, which adopts scientific standards from specialized scientific periodicals and conference work books, with the aim of exchanging knowledge and results, so that research continues and its results and goals are integrated.

We are required to modernize the academic sciences that are taught and that have been carefully selected on the approach of global trends so as to increase the ability of faculty graduates to confront the rapid changes in the field of information technology as well as the development of various training programs to give the student practical and applied experience through projects, practical practices and summer training in business sectors related to information systems.

Since the establishment of the Faculty of Computers and Information Science in 1996 as one of the faculties of Ain Shams University specialized in four areas in information systems, computer science, scientific calculations, and computer systems, it aims to achieve the information renaissance and prepare distinguished human cadres at the national and Arab levels. The faculty is keen to contribute to achieving the information renaissance for the development of skills and personal capabilities .

The faculty is keen to include the distinguished elements of faculty staff and their teaching assistants with expertise in the field of information technology, evaluating student performance, and preparing advanced curricula in the educational process, with the aim of distinguishing the college, for its implementation at the highest level, which is no less than the international levels in this field.
The faculty was keen to set a distinct policy for the development of research programs and achieved success in this field with the issuance of the scientific journal “The International Journal of Smart Computers and Informatics Sciences” and holding periodic conferences every two years to keep pace with global technological developments.

In addition to the faculty's constant keenness to prepare specialized cadres in the field of computers and information, who have a large amount of knowledge and scientific and applied skills that are compatible with the changing needs of the labor market, in addition to deepening scientific awareness and interest in applied research in the framework of partnership with institutions and companies by creating the appropriate environment for that. And seeking to communicate with the community and meet its needs by providing advisory and research expertise that serve the community in a distinct manner that helps achieve integrated and continuous development.
