In a new achievement added to the distinguished record of successes of the Faculty of Computers and Information at Ain Shams University, the faculty’s Huawei Academy was honored during the Huawei Egypt Partner Summit 2026, held at the Four Seasons Nile Plaza in Cairo, in the presence of a distinguished group of Huawei executives, strategic partners, and representatives of academic and educational institutions.
This recognition was awarded in appreciation of the faculty’s outstanding performance as one of the most active and distinguished Huawei Academies among Egyptian universities. The faculty has achieved tangible success in implementing Huawei Academy programs, promoting modern technological knowledge, and preparing students to acquire advanced skills in information and communications technology (ICT), artificial intelligence, cloud computing, networking, and cybersecurity.
Professor Dr. Rasha Ismail, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information at Ain Shams University, received the award shield in recognition of the faculty’s continuous efforts to support its strategic partnership with Huawei and its commitment to providing an advanced educational and training environment that helps prepare highly qualified graduates capable of competing in local, regional, and international job markets.
The Huawei Academy at the Faculty of Computers and Information plays a pivotal role in supporting the educational process and enhancing the capabilities of both students and faculty members. It achieves this through the organization of numerous specialized training courses and workshops, the provision of Huawei-certified professional certification programs, and the hosting of technical seminars and awareness events that strengthen students’ readiness for the labor market and enable them to keep pace with the latest global technological developments.
The academy also encourages students to participate in local, regional, and international competitions, most notably the Huawei ICT Competition, in which faculty students have achieved remarkable accomplishments at various levels, advancing to global competitions and securing top positions that reflect their academic and practical excellence.
This success is the result of the academy’s continuous efforts under the leadership of Professor Dr. Rasha Ismail, Dean of the Faculty, and the supervision of Dr. Mona Abdel Azim, Director of the Huawei Academy at the faculty. Dr. Abdel Azim has played a significant role in developing the academy’s activities, strengthening collaboration with Huawei, overseeing the implementation of training and qualification programs, and encouraging students to take advantage of the educational and competitive opportunities offered by the academy. These efforts have contributed to increasing the number of beneficiaries and raising participation and excellence rates among students.
This recognition further confirms the leading position of the Faculty of Computers and Information at Ain Shams University in the fields of technological education and digital capacity building, as well as its active role in supporting innovation, academic excellence, and collaboration with major global companies. These efforts positively impact its students and graduates and enhance their ability to compete in the global job market.
The faculty looks forward to building upon this success by expanding its collaboration with Huawei and offering more specialized programs and initiatives that support digital transformation and contribute to preparing a new generation of talented professionals capable of leading the future of technology and innovation.
