As part of its commitment to strengthening international academic cooperation and providing its students with global educational opportunities, the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences at Ain Shams University is proud to announce the participation of a number of its students in the International Summer School organized by the University of East London (UEL), United Kingdom, under the title:
Big Data and Cloud Computing for Smart Cities
This initiative is held under the patronage of Professor Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Professor Rasha Ismail, Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences.
The participation reflects the Faculty's ongoing commitment to offering its students international learning opportunities and enriching their academic and practical experience through immersion in a global educational environment. Such initiatives contribute to preparing graduates equipped with the knowledge and skills required to compete successfully in both local and international job markets.
The Summer School runs for ten days and offers a comprehensive training program that combines specialized academic lectures, hands-on laboratory sessions, and practical projects focusing on the application of big data and cloud computing technologies to develop smart city solutions.
The program aims to enhance students' technical knowledge and practical skills while exposing them to the latest global technologies and emerging trends. The students' participation is supervised by Dr. Hanan Yousri, Coordinator of the International Dual Degree Program, in coordination with Dr. Manal Tantawy, Director of the Faculty's Special Programs.
