Graduation ceremony for the 26th class of the Faculty of Computers and Information at Ain Shams University

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Diaa Zein El Abdeen, President of Ain Shams University, the Faculty of Computers and Information at Ain Shams University celebrated the graduation of its 26th class.

The ceremony was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Rasha Ismail, Dean of the Faculty, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Yasser El-Kady, former Minister of Communications and Information Technology; Eng. Mahmoud Badawy, Assistant Minister of Communications and Information Technology for Digital Transformation; Prof. Dr. Essam Khalifa, Head of the Computer and Information Sector Committee at the Supreme Council of Universities and former Dean of the Faculty; Prof. Dr. Mohamed Roshdy, Rapporteur of the Scientific Committee for Examining Scientific Output for Professor and Associate Professor Positions in Computer and Information Sciences at the Supreme Council of Universities; Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Hamad, President of the University of Informatics; Prof. Dr. Tarek Gharib, Dean of the Faculty of Computers at Al-Ahram Canadian University; Prof. Dr. Hala Moshir, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Dr. Sherine Rady, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; department heads; international program coordinators; and a number of faculty members, faculty council members, teaching assistants, and students' families.

During her speech, Professor Rasha Ismail congratulated the students and their families on this special day, celebrating the culmination of years of hard work and success in overcoming challenges with strength and determination. She added that graduation day marks the end of an academic phase and the beginning of a new professional phase, where they will shape the future in a rapidly changing world driven by technology and knowledge.

She addressed the graduates, urging them to be proud of graduating from a prestigious college, recognized globally, regionally, and locally, and accredited by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education. She noted that some of the college's programs are internationally accredited, and that the university itself is a long-established institution with institutional accreditation, distinguishing its graduates from their peers. She emphasized that the graduates should live up to this trust and be ambassadors for their college and university in the job market, which welcomes them.

Professor Ismail also expressed... Rasha Ismail expressed her delight at the graduation of the first cohort from the Robotics Computing dual-degree program, highlighting the excellence of the college's ten programs, including four core programs and six specialized programs: Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Digital Multimedia, Bioinformatics, and the newest, Robotics Computing.

She also extended her gratitude to the previous college administration, especially Professor Dr. Nagwa Badr, the former Dean, for her efforts and contributions to the college's advancement, as well as to all faculty and administrative staff for their continuous dedication.

Dr. Arish Siddiqui, Director of International Relations at the University of East London, delivered a recorded video message expressing his immense joy in sharing this special day with the graduates and their families, celebrating the culmination of years of hard work and dedication with success and excellence. Dr. Siddiqui conveyed the congratulations of Professor Dr. Hassan Abdullah, President of the University of East London, and Professor Dr. Paul Marshall, Vice-Chancellor of the University of East London, to the graduates and faculty members, wishing them continued progress and prosperity. Dr. Arish delivered an inspiring message to the graduates, emphasizing that the path to success is paved only with perseverance and hard work, and that moments of success and distinction always come after effort and dedication. He wished them a promising future filled with achievement and leadership.

Dr. Arish concluded by praising the distinguished academic relationship between the University of East London and Ain Shams University, affirming that the fruitful cooperation between the two universities contributes to enriching the educational process and enhancing the exchange of expertise, which benefits both students and the academic community.

During his address, Engineer Mahmoud Badawy, Assistant Minister of Communications and Information Technology for Digital Transformation Affairs and a 2005 graduate of the college, congratulated the students on their graduation and advised them on the importance of learning and innovation to keep pace with rapid technological change. He noted that the job market needs graduates from the Faculty of Computer Science, as demand exceeds supply, and this presents a valuable opportunity for them to build their future.

Professor Essam Khalifa, Head of the Computer and Information Technology Sector Committee at the Supreme Council of Universities, commended the college's graduates for their participation in numerous events and assured them that a syndicate is currently being established. For graduates of computer science and information technology faculties soon.

Professor Mohamed Roshdy, Rapporteur of the Scientific Committee of the Supreme Council of Universities, added that students and graduates of the college have participated in local and international software competitions for years, consistently achieving top rankings, which is a testament to their excellence.

Engineer Haitham Harras, CEO of Penta B, also spoke, sharing his inspiring success story as one of the college's most prominent graduates.

The ceremony included speeches from graduating class representatives, honoring top graduates and several recipients of master's and doctoral degrees, a film showcasing the 2025 graduating class's academic journey, unforgettable memories, and success stories, and a group photo session with the graduates. A variety of artistic performances were also presented by the Harmony Arabi Choir, which was met with enthusiastic applause from the audience.
