Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Diaa Zein El Abdeen, President of Ain Shams University, and the supervision of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector, headed by Prof. Dr. Sherwit El Ahmady, which manages the European Union's Erasmus+ exchange program, the Faculty of Engineering at Ain Shams University welcomed a delegation from the Technical University of Berlin. The delegation, comprised of Ms. Ila Hohenhaus and Ms. Nelly from the university's International Affairs Department, visited Ain Shams University to enhance scientific and academic exchange.
The delegation was received by Prof. Dr. Rasha Ismail, Dean of the Faculty; Prof. Dr. Hala Moshir, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Dr. Sherine Rady, Vice Dean for Environmental Affairs and Community Service; Prof. Dr. Howaida Shdid, Head of the Scientific Computing Department; Prof. Dr. Safaa Amin, Coordinator of the International Software Engineering Program; and Dr. Mona Abdel Azim, Coordinator of the Grants and Projects Department at the Faculty. They welcomed the guests and discussed avenues for joint cooperation between the two universities, paving the way for new horizons in the fields of education, scientific research, and innovation.
The event was attended by a delegation from the Grants and Projects Department at Ain Shams University, represented by Dr. Noha El-Rafei, Ain Shams University Coordinator for the Erasmus+ European Exchange Program and Deputy Director of the Grants and Projects Department in the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector, and Dr. Aziz Shaker, Deputy Program Coordinator and Head of the Projects Follow-up Section at the Grants and Projects Office. Fruitful discussions took place regarding mechanisms for cooperation in joint research projects and international grants between the two universities. During the meeting, several proposals aimed at supporting the exchange of expertise between faculty members and teaching assistants at both universities were discussed. A presentation was also given on the support services offered by the university's Grants and Projects Department, which was attended by a distinguished group of faculty members, students, and postgraduate students.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Dean of the Faculty emphasized her commitment to continued cooperation with prestigious international universities, which contributes to supporting Ain Shams University's vision of academic excellence and research leadership at both the local and international levels.
