Vision

Achieving excellence and leadership and raising the educational and research level in the field of computer science and information technology, by providing various statistical and computational consultations to achieve excellence at the local and regional levels.

Mission

Providing a distinguished educational and research climate to build specialized cadres capable of competing in the field of computer science and information technology, and providing statistical, computational and technical consultations in the field of education and training to contribute to social and economic development.

Objectives

  • Implementing projects for various departments inside and outside the university.
  • Since 1998, the Payroll Department at the Scientific Accounting Center has been implementing salaries for all 28 main university entities, including faculty members, employees, workers, cadres, and temporary staff (2/3 - special results), as well as preparing reports on this and preparing exam rewards, additional wages, and rewards for outstanding performance. In addition to creating annual variable wages at the end of each insurance and tax year for all university entities, and creating a program to print tax settlements (agencies and individuals) through networking between the center and the university’s various colleges and departments, as well as adjusting tax and insurance rates in accordance with the amendments received from the Tax Authority and the General Authority for Insurance. And starting to establish the electronic review system, and the subsequent establishment of specialized networks for the “Shams Electronic Review” program.
  • Conducting studies and consultations in the field of information systems to serve the environment.
  • Participate in raising awareness related to computers and information technology through preparing special seminars, conferences, documents, references, and books related to that.
  • Cooperating with various scientific computing centers in the universities of the Arab Republic of Egypt and information centers in various sectors with the aim of achieving integration and comprehensiveness of information systems.
  • Providing statistical and accounting services to assist the university in carrying out its mission in the field of student education and training and designing automated systems when implementing its administrative, technical and financial operations.
  • Contributing to conducting scientific research aimed at solving realistic problems faced by the productive activity of various bodies and institutions.
  • Contributing to training faculty members, assistant teachers, teaching assistants, and workers at the university and other universities on studying different computer languages ​​and how to design and use programs.
  • Organizing training courses for community members, students and graduates studying computer and information technology.
  • Supporting research and providing statistical and accounting services.
  • Carrying out maintenance work for the center, the College of Computers and Information, and other units affiliated with the university.
  • Desktop publishing works of various types.

  • Database Management System (DBMS)
  • DBMS is a fundamental course that provides understanding of database management systems, knowledge of different types of database models, understanding of SQL programming language, ability to design and implement a database schema and understanding of query optimization.

  • Programming level I (Fundamentals of Programming in C++)
  • It is a fundamental course that provides introduction to programing languages, compilers, program execution, software, and software life cycle, Language Syntax (Data representation, variables, data types, I/O Formatting, and arithmetic), Conditions and Logical Expressions (If-else, nested if and switch case), Loops, Arrays, strings, Functions and Structures

  • Object Oriented Programming in C++

    Prerequisite: Programming Level I

    This course provides understanding of Data abstraction, information hiding, encapsulation and classes & objects.Fields (data members, variables, attributes), methods Constructors, destructors, & object creation, object & member scope.Inheritance and polymorphism, Templates, operator overloading, Exception, and exception handling, Building GUI files.
