As part of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences' commitment at Ain Shams University to promoting culture and fostering intellectual awareness among its students, and in the belief that reading is a fundamental pillar in building character, enriching knowledge, and developing critical thinking and creativity—complementing academic and scientific excellence—the Faculty is dedicated to encouraging students to participate in national initiatives that promote a culture of reading and lifelong learning.
This initiative is held under the patronage of Professor Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University; Professor Rami Maher Ghaly, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; under the supervision of Professor Abdelmonem Zaki, General Coordinator of the National Reading Project at Ain Shams University; Professor Rasha Ismail, Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences; Professor Sherine Rady, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Dr. Naglaa Fathy, Project Coordinator.
In this context, the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences extends its heartfelt congratulations to Jana Mohamed Abbas Mohamed El-Sharkawy, a fourth-year student in the Digital Multimedia Program, for winning First Place (Gold Level) at the university level and qualifying to represent Ain Shams University in the final stage of the National Reading Project (Season Five – 2026).
The Faculty also expresses its pride in all participating students and commends their outstanding efforts and determination to actively engage in this national initiative, which aims to promote reading and knowledge. They include:
- Malak Hassouna Fathy, a second-year student, who successfully qualified in the first stage at the faculty level and delivered an outstanding performance throughout the competition. The Faculty wishes her continued success and excellence in future editions of the project.
- Yara Wael Abdullah, a second-year student, in recognition of her dedication, active participation, and distinguished performance, with sincere wishes for continued success and achievement in future competitions.
The Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences affirms that its mission extends beyond preparing distinguished graduates in computing and information technology. It is equally committed to cultivating students' cultural and intellectual awareness and preparing a generation that combines academic excellence with cultural enrichment—graduates who are capable of creativity, innovation, and making meaningful contributions to society.
