The team from the Faculty of Computers and Information at Ain Shams University won second place in the Smart Government Hackathon

Prof. Nagwa Badr, the Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Hala Moshir, the Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, congratulate the winning team in the final stage of the Smart Government Hackathon, under the patronage of Prof. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, wishing them continued success and progress.

The final stage of the Smart Government Hackathon, held in collaboration with Amazon Web Services and supported by Al-Sweedy Company, took place at Benha University from Friday, February 10th to Monday, February 13th, 2023. The team from the Faculty of Computers and Information at Ain Shams University won second place in the Smart ID/Smart Democracy track.

The team consisted of Ahmed Medhat Abdelaziz - 4th level, Scientific Computing Department, Abdelrahman Mohamed Abdel Salam - 4th level, Scientific Computing Department, Karim Hussein Abdo - 3rd level, Computer Science Department, Mohamed Sami Abdel Karim - 3rd level, Computer Science Department, and Youssef Abdel Hamid Farag - 3rd level, Computer Science Department, supervised by Dr. Hanan Hendy, a lecturer in the Computer Science Department.

It is worth mentioning that nearly 300 teams from 40 government, private, and civil universities applied for the competition this year.
