Blood Donation Campaign at the Faculty of Computers and Information – Ain Shams University in Support of the Healthcare Sector and to Promote the Values of Volunteerism.

The Faculty of Computers and Information, in cooperation with the Blood Bank at Ain Shams University Hospitals, organized a “Blood Donation Campaign” under the patronage of Professor Mohamed Diaa Zein El Abedeen, President of the University; Professor Ghada Farouk Hussein, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Professor Rasha Mohamed Ismail, Dean of the Faculty. The event was supervised by Professor Sherine Radi, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Professor Mohsen El-Alfy, Professor of Pediatrics and Hematology at El-Demerdash Hospital, with the participation of volunteer students from the faculty, during April 2026.

The campaign was held on campus along the main walkway connecting the Faculty of Computers and Information and the Faculty of Science. The faculty clinic also facilitated the donation procedures through its ground-floor headquarters, contributing to the smooth organization of the process and ensuring ease of procedures for donors.

This initiative comes as part of the university’s commitment to strengthening its community role, supporting the healthcare system, and raising awareness about the importance of blood donation. It also aims to promote the values of solidarity and volunteerism and contribute to community service and environmental development, particularly within the university community.
