Computer and Information Sciences and Engineering Ain Shams on a visit to the University of East London

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University A delegation from Ain Shams University made a working visit to the University of "East London" in the United Kingdom to follow up on the international partnership between the two universities, through which double bachelor's degrees are granted to their students.

The two colleges were represented by the delegation, Prof. Dr. Najwa Badr, Dean of the College of Computers and Information, and Prof. Dr. Omar Al-Husseini, Dean of the College of Engineering, and from the College of Computers and Information, Dr. Hanan Yousry, Coordinator of the International Degree, and Dr. Maryam Al-Bari, Coordinator of the Bioinformatics Technology Program, and from the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Khalil, Director of International Programs. credit hours, and his deputy for education and student affairs, Dr. Muhammad Al-Banna, and Dr. Tamer Samir, coordinator of dual degree programs, and Dr. Dalia Lewis, coordinator of the Computer Engineering and Software Systems Program, Dr. Hani El-Sayed, coordinator of the Mechatronics and Automation Engineering Program, and Dr. Amr Magdy, coordinator of the Energy and Renewable Energy Engineering Program.

The visit resulted in a discussion of various matters related to the double degree in the two faculties and how to increase the effectiveness and scope of scientific cooperation between the two universities and to work together to improve the work systems in force between the two universities and to develop mechanisms and systems to facilitate and strengthen cooperation between the two universities in all fields.

It is worth noting that it was agreed during the visit to prepare several summer workshops, which will be held at East London University in the summer semester 2023, and will be announced to Ain Shams University students soon.

In addition, it was agreed to hold seminars and scientific lectures via the Internet for students of the two faculties, starting from the fall semester 2023. This is in addition to developing an initial vision of how to conduct student exchange between the two universities, as well as at the level of faculty members. And how the two universities participate in teaching activities and in evaluating projects carried out by students in both universities.
