8th place for student Ziad Tariq in 50m freestyle swimming

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Diaa Zein El-Abedin, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Nagwa Badr, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information, and Prof. Dr. Hala Mushir, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, congratulate the student/ Ziad Tarek for obtaining eighth place in the 50-meter freestyle swimming race. Ziad Tarek, a player in the Egyptian Paralympic swimming team, participated in the 50-meter freestyle race, S10 category, in the Paralympic Games, hosted by the French capital, Paris, during the period from August 28 to September 8, 2024.

Ziad Tarek qualified for the final of the race after achieving a time of 24:75 seconds, achieving a new African record during the competitions, then obtained eighth place in the final race.

Ziad Tarek achieved a great achievement for Paralympic swimming, in his first participation in his history at this age, and allows him to continue to compete for a Paralympic medal in Los Angeles 2028.
